Chester Zoo Pop up restaurant

When I was invited to help create a pop up restaurant in the botanical gardens at Chester Zoo, it was a unique challenge in more ways than one. I’d certainly never set up an event to a backdrop of roaring lions before.

Diners were invited to purchase tickets for a unique dining experience, a mouth-watering taster menu and wine tasting devised by the talented chefs at The Cheshire Dining Experience and Chef’s Table. To do justice to the cuisine I needed to refine the setting, without overwhelming it.

Working with my trusted friends at Pop and Flourish, we delivered a setting where guests were sat on rustic tables beneath a bespoke sparkling canopy of foliage and lights, which accentuated the remarkable botany and lowered the ceiling to make things a lot more intimate. Our rustic tables were then dressed with candles, botanical leaves, and handwritten place settings.

Elliott Wedding

When two very busy professional decided to get married abroad, a location was required that would be suitable – and fun – for friends and family in the UK and Australia. My solution: an action-packed weekend in Las Vegas.

I devised a Thursday to Sunday itinerary that allowed for jet lag and unusual eating times, with all excursions tailored around individual guests’ wishes. So while some took the helicopter tour of the Grand Canyon, others took advantage or my personalised maps of the strip.

On Saturday the wedding was livestreamed for absent friends, before the happy couple and their guests were whisked off to The Stratosphere for a free play on the rides at the top of the observation tower and a meal in a private dining suite. As well as planning all entertainment and the wedding day itself, I took care of group flights and transfers and all accommodation, including allowing guests to add extra days or arrive from different locations beforehand.
